Manhattan College seeks an experienced, strategic, collegial, and entrepreneurial finance professional to lead its financial services division. The Vice President for Finance reports directly to the President of the College and is a member of the President?s Cabinet. He/she also serves as Treasurer of the Corporation and staffs the Finance and Audit Committee and the Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees. Reporting to the Vice President for Finance are the Controller, the Business Manager, and the Director of Student Financial Services. Areas of responsibility include tax compliance, treasury operations and fiscal planning, risk management, student financial services, financial reporting and analysis, fixed asset accounting, post award research administration, dining services, custodial services, insurance, and auxiliary business services including mail, telecommunications, printing and copying. As the liaison with the College?s public auditing firm, the VP/ CFO is responsible for strategic, mission-driven financial planning and budgeting, investments, cash flow, and tax-exempt bond initiatives. The VP/CFO oversees an annual operating budget of approximately $100 million.

The leading candidates will possess the following qualifications: CPA certificate desired; MBA or graduate degree in a related field preferred. Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in financial management; experience in leading mission-driven budgeting processes; solid knowledge and experience with strategic capital planning; prior experience with higher education, especially Federal and State financial aid and tax-exempt bonds, highly desirable; demonstrated knowledge of accounting and investment principles; knowledge of capital construction and risk management; ability to lead, mentor, and supervise a diverse professional staff; strong computer skills; Banner experience a plus; strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; superior communication skills; demonstrated ability to relate business strategies to the College Mission; ability to appreciate and to contribute to Manhattan?s tradition as a Lasallian, Catholic College.
