Remote monitoring for photovoltaics ... - Volta Business Directory!

Listing No.: 114018
Listing added: August 9, 2012 7:34 am Two devices, one solution: WEB?log data logger from meteocontrol and the MoRoS GPRS industrial router from INSYS icom

INSYS icom, expert for industrial data communication, and meteocontrol, market leader in professional remote monitoring of photovoltaic systems, are planning to deepen their technical cooperation.
The key element of meteocontrol?s system for operating data logging of all sizes of photovoltaic plants is the WEB?log data logger which records all data from inverters, digital energy meters, and sensors within the plant.

Via a MoRoS industrial router from INSYS icom connected to the WEB?log unit, the data is transferred to meteocontrol?s ?SaferSun? web portal which clearly arranges the data and makes it accessible for customers at any time.
Additionally, the customer?s control centre can access the data loggers and all network devices via a secure VPN connection at any time thanks to the INSYS Connectivity Service.
Since WEB?log data loggers are often installed in inaccessible spots, MoRoS units for mobile radio communication are optimally suited for network connection. The robust data communication devices combine the functions of a router, modem, and
a 4-port switch in one unit. ?Thanks to their industrial specifications and featuring GPRS or HSPA communication, MoRoS routers are the first choice for our remote monitoring systems for photovoltaics?, explains Jens Wening, Dipl.-Ing. (FH), technical director of meteocontrol.

?They ensure smooth data transfer, and their connection management for autonomous operation allows for quick and easy connections. The integrated switch that enables the connection of up to four WEB?log units provides another advantage. Moreover, INSYS icom routers are an excellent
add-on for our PackageSolutions. These pre-wired measuring and control stations allow for easy installation and commissioning on location. MoRoS routers are ideally suited for this task. Our products, and therefore our customers, benefit from this state-of-the-art connection option.?
