How to use iCloud like a Dropbox or Google Drive-style cloud store

While Apple never meant iCloud to work like Dropbox or Google Drive, if you don't mind polishing up your ninja-skills you can get it to do just that!

There's no shortage of online storage solutions -- Dropbox, Box.net, SugarSync, Microsoft SkyDrive, Apple's soon-to-be end-of-lifed iDisk, and now, Google Drive. Apple's new iCloud isn't meant to be online storage at all; it's designed to abstract away messy concepts like file systems and folders and tuck everything away neatly behind apps. Did you know, however, that you can also (with a little tweaking) upload movies, audio files and pictures to store in iCloud for safe keeping?

LMFAO's Redfoo Has Michael Jackson, Darth Vader On Hologram Wish List

Redfoo also says the very busy Eddie Murphy could use a hologram so he can 'party all the time.'

A month ago none of us really had hologram dreams. But ever since Tupac was digitally resurrected at the Coachella Music Festival
a few weeks ago, suddenly everyone has a secret roster of artists they would like to see pixelated. The Jackson brothers have said they would love to tour with a digi-Michael, there was that story about Justin Bieber possibly performing with a holo-Elvis
and TLC have been sparking rumors that they will bring back the late Left Eye
for a massive reunion tour this year.

And when we asked music fans
in New York's Times Square who they would like to see onstage again, their answers ranged from the Notorious B.I.G. and Nate Dogg to Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse and John Lennon. But it was LMFAO's Redfoo who had the most eclectic and wide-ranging roster of holograms he'd like to party rock next to.

"I wanna bring Michael Jackson, Charlie Chaplin, Darth Vader, Eddie Murphy," he told MTV News on the set of America's Best Dance Crew in Los Angeles. He noted that the latter comedian isn't even dead, but is just so busy with movies he could use some holographic help.

"So let's just get a hologram," he suggested to Murphy. "Do your thing over there, but just give us a hologram so we can party all the time, party all the time, party all the tiiiimeee!"

Micromax's Superfone A50 Ninja enters India with AISHA voice assistant, forgets its shuriken

Micromax's A50 Superfone Ninja enters India with AISHA voice assistant, forgets its shuriken

Hoping to compete with the Siris of the world, Micromax has announced its new Superfone A50 Ninja alongside a novel feature dubbed AISHA -- which is short for Artificial Intelligence Speech Handset Assistant. Similar to Cupertino's personal secretary, AISHA vows to help folks with every-day elements such as making calls, setting up calendar events and even reporting what the weather looks like. Much to our disappointment, however, the A50 Ninja runs a not-so-new flavor of Android -- Gingerbread to be exact -- and Micromax left out any mention of Android 4.0. On the specs front, the dual-SIM Superfone sports a 3.1-inch display (mum's the word on the resolution), a two-megapixel shooter, Bluetooth 2.0 capabilities and an unspecified 650MHz processor. All in all, thanks to its 4,999 rupees (around $95) budget price, we can't imagine you'd complain too much. Be sure to hit up the Micromax link below if you're interested in grabbing one of these.

Ask Engadget: best money no object laptop?

Image

We know you've got questions, and if you're brave enough to ask the world for answers, here's the outlet to do so. This week's Ask Engadget inquiry is coming to us from Chris, who simply has too much money to blow on a super-laptop. If you're looking to send in an inquiry of your own, drop us a line at ask [at] engadget [dawt] com.

"I sold my business and I want to replace my laptop [HP Pavilion G6] with a completely unreasonably expensive top of the line machine. I want it to do everything I do (gaming, coding, web design) all at the same time. Apart from the fact I need two hard drive bays, I'm completely open-minded, so what should I be buying? Thank you!"

Quell your gnashing teeth, members of the 99%, he's done well for himself and now he needs our help. We were able to trick out an Alienware M18x to full capacity for $6,700 -- with an over-clocked 4GHz Intel Core i7, 32GB of RAM, two 2GB NVIDIA GTX 675m in SLI mode and 1.2TB of SSD RAID storage. That's the benchmark, folks: who out there can find something more powerful?

Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga to Portray Aliens in Men in Black III

Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga might soon get killed by Will Smith. Wait... what?!?

Men in Black III director Barry Sonnenfeld confirmed in an interview with Collider this week that the music superstars will actually cameo in his upcoming blockbuster, though you're unlikely to be aware of it as you watch Agents J and K in action.

Justin Bieber in CannesGa Ga

"In this [installment] there are a few people that you'll see up on the surveillance board, including Lady Gaga, Tim Burton, who probably knows more about aliens than I do, and let's see who else... Justin Bieber," Sonnenfeld told the website. "The challenge is getting celebrities that are famous, will give you permission and won't be like 'Who's that guy?' in 10 years."

In the 2002 sequel to this franchise, Michael Jackson actually played the role of an alien for a brief scene.

The film comes out on May 25 and you can watch the Men in Black III trailer now. Can you spot Bieber and/or Gaga in it?!?

Hate Itchy Mosquito Bites? Building Up an Immunity Only Requires About 15,000 Bites Per Year [Video]

Meet Steve Schutz. Some might say he's very dedicated to his work. But others would call him downright crazy. You see Steve works in an insectarium, a place where mosquitos are born and raised. And to ensure its residents are well-fed and propagate, he serves up his bare arm once a week for dinner. More »
