How the major stock indexes fared Friday (AP)

A quiet day on Wall Street ended Friday with major stock indexes little changed after a big rally the day before. The Dow Jones industrial average closed out its fifth week of gains, its longest winning streak since January.

The Dow Jones industrial average rose 22.56, or 0.2 percent, to close at 12,231.11.

The S&P 500 rose 0.5, or less than 0.1 percent, to 1,285.09.

The Nasdaq composite fell 1.48, or 0.1 percent, to 2,737.15.

For the week:

The Dow is up 422.32, or 3.6 percent.

The S&P is up 46.84, or 3.8 percent.

The Nasdaq is up 99.69, or 3.8 percent.

For the year to date:

The Dow is up 653.60, or 5.6 percent.

The S&P 500 is up 27.45, or 2.2 percent.

The Nasdaq is up 84.28, or 3.2 percent.
